Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)
Restore Your Balance. Reclaim Your Life.
Hormones play a vital role in how you feel every day. As we age, natural hormone levels begin to decline, often leaving both women and men feeling unlike themselves. Low energy, weight gain, poor sleep, mood changes, brain fog, and decreased libido are common symptoms—but they don't have to become your new normal.
At Infinity Laser Med Spa, we offer Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) pellet therapy, a personalized treatment designed to restore hormonal balance naturally and help you look, feel, and live your best.
What is Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy?
Bioidentical hormones are derived from plant sources and are chemically identical to the hormones naturally produced by your body. Pellet therapy delivers a consistent, steady dose of hormones beneath the skin, helping eliminate the highs and lows that can occur with creams, patches, pills, or injections.
Each treatment plan is customized based on your symptoms, health history, and comprehensive lab work.
-
During a quick in-office procedure, tiny hormone pellets—about the size of a grain of rice—are placed just beneath the skin, usually in the upper hip or flank area.
These pellets gradually release hormones over several months, providing consistent hormone levels that allow your body to function more optimally.
The procedure includes:
Comprehensive consultation
Review of symptoms
Laboratory testing
Customized treatment plan
Simple in-office pellet insertion
Ongoing monitoring and follow-up care
The pellet insertion typically takes less than 20 minutes, and most patients return to normal activities the same day.
-
Many women begin experiencing symptoms during perimenopause and menopause due to declining estrogen and testosterone levels.

Bioidentical hormones are biochemically the same as the hormones produced by the human body. They are plant-based, natural substances created from yams to precisely match the molecular structure of hormones that can be metabolized by the body, minimizing side effects. Synthetic hormones are artificially formulated and intentionally manufactured to be slightly different from human hormones in order to be patentable.
-
A small incision is made in the buttocks or flank area. The pellets are then inserted under the skin through the incision. The incision is closed with steristrips and a pressure dressing is placed over the area. No stitch is required. The procedure takes only a few minutes.
-
Pellets typically last 3-4 months for women and 6 months for men. Pellet duration varies by individual and their body’s needs. If you are very active, under a lot of stress, or are out in extremely hot weather, your treatment may not last as long. The absorption rate is based on cardiac output.
-
Most users report they can tell when they need more pellets based on a decrease in energy levels or return of other symptoms.
-
Side effects from the hormones may include some hair growth or acne, both of which are very treatable. Mild bruising and/or temporary discomfort at the pellet insertion site may occur.
-
Prior to the pellet procedure, our provider will review the results of a blood test done to determine your hormone levels. You will only need to have your hormone levels rechecked about once a year or if there are any significant changes in your health.
-
You can have your blood drawn in our office, or we can provide you with the necessary paperwork for you to have your lab work done at a laboratory of your choice.
-
BHRT pellet treatments are not a covered expense on any insurance plans, and we do not submit insurance claims for this service.
Some HRAs/HSAs will reimburse you for hormone replacement therapy. You will need to check with them directly to see if it is a reimbursable service.
